This corner of the internet is an experiment in long-form digital gardening, recently seeded with some essaying about faith in Buddhism and potentially a site for transplanting some essayed subjects. See the About page for more.

Digital gardening is a form of non-linear hypertext narrative that I have been wanting to explore for ~15 years. There is a primary narrative thread here in Don’t Believe What I Think, and then sprawling sub-branches I have started calling Driftwood and might stash behind the shed later.

Thickets is my net on the net. With these essays I am endeavouring to support my practice with essaying my way out of the thickets, which is the image Buddha used to describe the tangle of opinions that keep us bound in samsara.

How to Find Your Way through the Garden

One place to begin is with the essay that motivated me to develop the site, Don’t Believe What I Think, which is an exploration of faith in Buddhism.

That link will take you to the Introduction of the essay, and on your left there is a content tree featuring other central branches, including finished essays I will upload over time.
